Raleigh or Fayetteville for roadtrip stop
Hello! My family is driving from Baltimore to Orlando. We’re stopping in Savannah on the way but need one more stop between Maryland and Savannah. We’re considering Raleigh or Fayetteville, but I don’t know anything about either place. Any recommendations? Thanks!

Favorite Army Museum?

What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the 82nd Airborne Division War Memorial Museum for its impressive collection of artifacts and outdoor displays, particularly the aircraft and vehicles. Many find it a great experience for families and a valuable historical resource. Some noted a desire for more active-duty personnel presence or special events on certain days.
"Airborne all the way Airborne driving on, driving on! Truely a morale assett to the division garrison life....but you rarely see actual active duty paratroopers there. It was National Airborne Day 2025, August 16th and nothing special was underway upon an afternoon arrival. There were two WWII renactors....or waa it three? In an OD canvas tent outside the museum baking in the sun. Great historical museum and artifacts. Keep it open!"

"We really enjoyed ourselves! My nephews were visiting from out of state and one of them, especially, loves everything Air force (he wants to join one day). We had to take him!
They have an amazing display of planes of so many variations, tanks, etc. They also have some beautiful displays and tributes to those who fell during Vietnam and the War on Terrorism."
