"Having lived in Fort Worth area for over a decade, I had heard about this park but never got a chance to venture there. Went for a morning hike with some group of friends and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. There is enough change in topography to feel like one is hiking a hill. The trails are reasonably well maintained. They are shared by bikers so that's something to keep an eye out for. One of the trails leads to the spillway and there is enough drop in the ground to feel like overlooking a waterfall. Quite a pleasant park for hiking and being outdoors."

"This was our first visit here! A lot of nature and scenery to take in. 🌳 We started driving down a long road with some paths to stop along side and see. 👀 Then we made a right and found a circle parking lot to pull in to with a pavilion. We kept going and found a second parking lot with a view of the lake and open field. This is where we met our photographer for some first birthday photos! 📸 It was humid so we didn't stay long. 🥵 I saw some paved trails to follow and it was not busy or crowded at 6:30 pm. I'm sure there are some more pretty views to find here!"

"Beautiful place it’s so sad how we as humans keep Distracting this beautiful place and the irresponsible behavior of some individuals who litter everywhere. Numerous fishermen frequent this area, yet they have left behind an abundance of fishing hooks, beer cans, and trash. This is a disgrace to those who enjoy fishing, as it reflects a lack of pride in their craft. This pristine location demands our utmost care and attention."
