"Love love love this lake! Grew up on this lake and this was the first time I hiked this trail. Made it to big bend 😊 next time I'm gonna go farther! I did however find 2 bowls of oatmeal on the trail 😡 ppl don't leave your trash laying around! Let's keep California beautiful!"

"Awesome trail. First mile is really intimidating. But afterwards it gets a bit easier. If you are visiting during the summer, bring enough water to keep you hydrated. Great views, and mostly everyone you meet on the trail is very friendly. I’ve been addicted to this trail since my first time."
Jessie Valdez
"Great place to hike especially in the Winter when you need to avoid the snow at higher elevations. If you start at one of the Pincushion peak trailheads (West side) you can hike over to The Gorge on the East side. During the hike you're likely to run into lots of grazing cows, some of which you'll need to shoo out of the trail."
