Easy Fresno hike for spring🌼🌾🤍 Just under an hour from downtown, Pa’san Ridge (San Joaquin River Gorge Footbridge) is the perfect hike for spring when the grass is green and there are tons of wildflowers. The trail to the footbridge is easy to follow and doesn’t have too much incline. Keep going for a longer loop among the greenery or turnaround at the bridge. Reminder👉🏼 my Fresno & Surrounding Da...

Trail runs?

Hi! I'd like to run the SAR Half Marathon at Shaver Lake, but I've never done a trail race and am having difficulty finding somewhere semi-local I can get the miles in. I can run the distance fine on the road. I need something a little more rugged, and my poor decrepit car…

Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about the stunning spring wildflowers and the accessible trails, particularly the Pa'san Ridge route. Many appreciate the great views and the friendly atmosphere. However, some note the initial trail sections can be challenging, and littering is a concern for some hikers.

"Love love love this lake! Grew up on this lake and this was the first time I hiked this trail. Made it to big bend 😊 next time I'm gonna go farther! I did however find 2 bowls of oatmeal on the trail 😡 ppl don't leave your trash laying around! Let's keep California beautiful!"

Jeri Alibrando

"Awesome trail. First mile is really intimidating. But afterwards it gets a bit easier. If you are visiting during the summer, bring enough water to keep you hydrated. Great views, and mostly everyone you meet on the trail is very friendly. I’ve been addicted to this trail since my first time."

Jessie Valdez

"Great place to hike especially in the Winter when you need to avoid the snow at higher elevations. If you start at one of the Pincushion peak trailheads (West side) you can hike over to The Gorge on the East side. During the hike you're likely to run into lots of grazing cows, some of which you'll need to shoo out of the trail."
