What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Millerton Lake is a beloved recreational spot, praised for its water activities, camping, and scenic beauty, especially when the lake is full. Visitors enjoy the Bald Eagle tours and hiking trails. However, some reviews mention disappointment with low water levels during certain times of the year, which can detract from the experience.
"My granddaughter Makayla turns 21 of age so we all got together and ended up here for her birthday. Invited family & friends and now everybody left. And now were setting up our tents staying for 2 nights camping near the water...It's $10.00 just to get in the park for the whole day."
Silvia T. Perez
"We went for the Bald Eagle Tour. Early morning departure on a nice barge with 15+ passengers. Takes about 3 hours with a bathroom and hot chocolate break mid way. The Eagles are so beautiful and in their natural habitat. I feel it's the best experience you can possibly have for $20. This will be an annual event for the wife and I."
Jeff Hilburn
"Good camping experience when the water is not low. 3 stars only because the water level during my trip was very low. 4-4 1/2 stars when the water level is full. Check water levels prior to making reservations. Rv camping (full hookups if desired) and tent camping are available."
