What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors generally find the River Road Riverwalk to be a peaceful and scenic trail, particularly appreciated for its dog-friendly nature and pleasant wooded path. While the 3.8-mile loop is enjoyable for walking and running, some note the initial approach can be less scenic and parking has a fee. Inconsistent visitor center hours can be a minor drawback.
"Not as excited as others are on this trail but is one of the few dog friendly ones in the National Park. From Sugarland, you spend the first 0.75 miles going through a parking lot, dodging construction, walking down a road and going behind some maintenance buildings. From there, the trail is a nice hard packed trail that is heavily traveled - it follows a creek and has a road nearby. Scenery is okay. Still a nice 4 mile round trip with the pups but not over the top for this one. And don’t forget the $5 parking fee - can pay at a kiosk at the parking lot. Would rate a 4.5 out of 5."

"Nice and peaceful trail. Had a great walk however wish they would have posted sign that visitor center was closed. One of us had to use the restroom only to find see Center closed... would have turned around sooner 😆. All was good. Good trail for all ages..."

Calming creek, beautiful nature, picturesque, breathtaking locations.
Very busy with traffic but still an easy incredible walk to enjoy with the family or with friends."
