What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the Nebraska State Fair for its cleanliness, family-friendly atmosphere, and diverse entertainment. The wide variety of food options, from classic fair treats to unique deep-fried items, is a major highlight. While crowds can be significant, especially on weekends and during concerts, the overall experience is highly recommended for its enjoyable and well-maintained grounds.
"Absolutely loved this year's fair! Lots of great food vendors! If you have never tried a deep fried banana before, you are missing out! Kids had a blast at the amusement park. The airbrush t-shirt booth was definitely worth the visit. The amusement park vendors and even the security / police on site all were very friendly and even took time to play with my 3 year old son, which he loved! We bought him a bubble rifle and he was having a blast! Then of course the best part was getting to see 90s and 00s music acts on Saturday for the Forever Young tour. It was a rainy, dreary day but that didn't stop any of us in the crowd from having a great time."

"First time attending. Riding the shuttle from and returning to the parking lot was easy. There was a 20 to 30 minute wait for boarding. The fairgrounds are spacious and neat and clean. Loved reading the encouraging words from the judges on the entrants paperwork!"

Family-friendly entertainment, rodeos, and shows are scheduled. Lots of vendors and events. Weekends are popular. Great weather. Military day is Sep 1. If leaving for the day and you have a day pass, you can re-enter for free if you get stamped. Highly recommend."
