"This trail is an important piece of history preserved and presented well. This is Du Bois’ family land, purchased to honor and commemorate him. There is a place that shows where his grandparents’ home once stood, but no actual buildings, just a trail with signs.
We spent 20-30 minutes walking the trail and stopping to read the informational signs. The trail is flat, but all the roots will make navigating a wheelchair or stroller difficult. Old growth pines along the trail are majestic. Wear bug spray as there are many mosquitoes in the summer."

The property is a big U shape up against the main road with a more modern home in the middle. Not much to see here though other than the plaques that give some background info."
