What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Turkey Creek Nature Trail offers a beautiful natural setting with opportunities for wildlife viewing and peaceful walks. While many appreciate its scenic boardwalk and diverse flora and fauna, some recent reviews point to overgrown and poorly marked trails, suggesting a need for maintenance. Visitors should be prepared for a rustic experience and enter at their own risk.
"A little hard to find, the trail starts in a field behind the Turkey Creek Head Start program area. You pass a gate that warns you to enter at your own risk. The trails are well defined and have several wooden platforms to stand on and a couple benches. I saw a turtle, chipmunk, lizards, and dragonflies, and heard several interesting bird calls. The park isn't very big but it does offer a lot. On the western side of the park is a bridge to cross the water, it doesn't look very sturdy but I was able to cross when walking very slowly. Indeed, do enter at your own risk."
Michael Bloom
"It's a great place to enjoy nature but has now the trails have become overgrown but still passable. Would to be nice if cleaned somewhat by a volunteer event or Birding Society."
Glen Allbritton
"Needs a little TLC but still walkable. Glad the creek is fairly free of trash on my last visit here."
