Public beach options in the Hamptons

Grabbed an airbnb for the weekend. The owner mentioned that most of the beaches require residency like long Island. As far as public, she only mentioned coopets(I've never been there myself). Was hoping some people could help find a good quiet spot for the day. Thanks Edit.…

Reviews Summary

Ponquogue Beach is praised for its clean, white sand and beautiful ocean views, especially during sunset. Visitors appreciate the well-maintained facilities, including restrooms and a concession stand. However, the high parking fees for non-residents and occasional rough surf can be drawbacks for some.

"Every time I travel home to the Hamptons, I like to ride over the ponquybridge to check out the ocean and then ride down to the jetty/I let. There's usually always a nice breeze and I will stop at the local bakery and grab me a roll and just check out the water and the boats. This was my first stop on my last trip home."

Shawn Bare

"This is a nice beach with a decent-sized parking lot, clean bathhouse and a place to buy food and beach accessories (chairs, boogie boards, etc.) The lifeguards were very attentive and made sure that everyone was safe. The surf was very rough on the day I visited, yet swimming was still allowed, which I appreciated. Parking was $40/day for a non-resident."

Jeremy Elliott

"Clean white sand. Plenty parking area. $30/day parking. Clean bathrooms and changing rooms. Ladies room had about 4 changing rooms. 4 total Showers outside. Bathroom closes at 5pm. Lifeguards on site but they leave at 5pm. Long shoreline, beautiful. The day I went was sunny but windy so ocean was wavy. Watch the wind forecast. I recommend all beaches along that coastline. Minimum seaweeds on the shore. Clean shore."
