What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the stunning and unique black sand beach, the intriguing sea caves, and the dramatic coastal scenery. Many consider it a highlight of the Road to Hana. However, some find the park can get crowded, and the mandatory reservation system can be a hurdle if not planned for in advance.
"The caves are just a short walk from the beach. The water is usually cold which is great on hot and humid days. Water clarity can vary greatly so if it doesn't look like you'd like it in your eyes and mouth definately stay out. If you do decide to go in, the water is just deep enough for jumping in but you might want to keep your legs bent so you don't hit the bottom. Definately don't go head first!"
