What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Waioli Mission House for its excellent preservation and the engaging stories shared during guided tours, highlighting the well-maintained gardens as a peaceful escape. However, inconsistent opening hours have led to disappointment for some, making advance confirmation crucial.
"Not sure why there was 0 reviews. Amazing tour tells a great story and perfect preservation for the life 100s years ago. The house was kept clean and faithful to its original form. The garden was well maintained, in fact better than the botanic garden we’ve been on the island.
When we arrived, they were already closed. But they were very accommodating - Roger spent an extra hour just for us."

"I planned my visit to the north of the island around this museum, which is the only reason I chose to visit on a Saturday. It said online that the museum is open on Saturdays, but when we got there it was closed even the grounds, and there was no indication as to whether this was temporary or permanent. I was so disappointed, as I didn't get to visit any historic homes on my last trip to Hawaii and really wanted to this time. This is something I found irritating about Kauai, is you can never trust opening hours. Seems like it's better to go to Oahu to see history homes."
