Episode 23 is unquestionably the best episode yet. Holy moly. The fountain almost couldn’t fit in my frame. Look at the south vent go too! This is the most vigorous and highest fountaining episode yet, in my opinion! I couldn’t include the original sounds of the lava since there were too many people around me talking. Reviews Summary

Volcano House offers an unparalleled location with breathtaking volcano views, making it a unique and historic stay. While the rooms are basic and some guests find the dining experience inconsistent, the staff's friendliness and the hotel's charm are frequently highlighted positives. It's an experience best suited for those prioritizing proximity to nature and history over modern luxury.

"We had reservations for 2 nights but left after 1 night. First night we had dinner in the dining room and it was horrible. We had reservations, but still had to wait 30 min. Not a big deal. My cocktail, special of the evening a grapefruit margarita, which was served after my apoetizer, was very strong, I asked the bartender if I could have a little more juice in it and he grabbed a chuck of a grapefruit, squeezed it with bare hands and shoved it in my glass and said there. Our steak was so tough we couldn't cut or chew it. We told the server and he said let me get you some steak knives. And brought knives. I had at least 5 chewed and spit out bites on my plate before I stopped eating it. The soup was soo fishy tasting, we could barely eat it. The mashed potatoes were cold. We left more than half of our dinners untouched. At $55 a steak and $16 a cup of soup, it should have been edible. Also we had tried for ice for our room earlier on check in, and had to go to the bar. 3 people later saying wait for the bartender. A different bartender for that bar came in and was very rude when we asked to see the bar menu and only filled our small bucket half way. The rooms were beyond out dated. No TV. 1 small fan, no air conditioning, tiny bathroom, but we were there for the scenery so some of the issues could be overlooked. When it was foggy the next day, we couldn't think of any reason to stay. The volcano couldnt be seen, the room was so so, no TV on a foggy night, bartenders were nasty, not hanging there, the food was terrible so we weren't going to eat, we decided to lose our nights pay and head back to our beach hotel. I'll say the check in girls were great with there advice and mimosas, the gift house people were great, the grounds were nice the park is wonderful. . But get a VRBO near by and visit the park. Don't stay at the volcano house."

"We stayed for 2 nights in a rim view room. While the location of the hotel is its selling point, the rooms left a lot to be desired. The hotel restaurant is very good, we had breakfast and dinner on the nights that we stayed.
Now on to the room. We knew this was an old historic hotel and expected the room and furniture to be old, and it was as we had anticipated. What I did not expect was the odor coming from the bathroom. Our room smelled like a dirty toilet despite the fact that the bathroom looked renovated. We left the windows wide open and the bathroom door shut during our stay. The room was clean, but the smell made the entire room feel dirty. At the price point that they are charging ($459 per night), I expect that they should at a minimum sanitize the bathroom after each check out. Very disappointing."

"Overall this place was incredible and so were the people that worked there. We had a reservation to camp in the campground, and it was set up through the volcano house, where they provided a tent and a few other things along with that. We had some issues at the campground and the front desk ladies, I'm sorry, but I can't remember their names (the night and day receptionist on August 29/30/31) were exceptional. They helped us through the issue and did as much as they could for us.

Their food was delicious! We had the bbq pizza two different times and the burgers for lunch one day! the service was great and everyone was very pleasant and welcoming!"
