What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors often praise the beautiful architecture and the welcoming nature of the community at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Many appreciate the spiritual atmosphere and the kindness of the priests. However, some find the church's size challenging for acoustics and occasionally perceive the community as less inclusive to newcomers.
"I have been attending this church for a year and have noticed several issues. Some priests make jokes that are out of place and one of them check his phone during communion. On several occasions, I have seen them look at women’s cleavage. When arriving early, many seats are taken with books, making it impossible to sit. Some parishioners come in very casual clothing: miniskirts, shorts, sandals, as if they were at a pool. Before mass, they are talking and laughing like they are in a movie or a restaurant. Confession is very quick, with little time to speak. Feels like they are kicking you out from the room. And one of the priests has such a strong accent that it is difficult to understand him in the gospel. The overall environment is not friendly; there are few kind people among the parishioners."

"Gorgeous church and a very welcoming community! I went to the 11:30 AM Sunday mass will be underway and several of the 7:30 AM weekday masses. At 6:30 a.m. weekdays the church is open. They have a rosary at 7 AM. They had free coffee and donuts after the 11:30 AM mass, but you have to be quick before they run out of donuts like we did :-) there are two priests there currently as of May 2023, and both of them are, homilists and very kind."
