TOTALLY WORTH IT. Don’t miss this!! Huge boulders allow you to scramble and hop your way right up to this magnificent beauty. The water spray will feel so good in summer! I have always wa...

The ability to get close to the powerful cascades and the scenic trails are major highlights. Some find the rocky terrain near the base challenging, and parking can be an issue on busy days.

Two large parking lots next to each other. Have bathrooms here. Also a picnic area, even one covered picnic area on the trail by Triple Falls viewing spot.
A 2mi. round trip hike to base of falls and back. You will first see Triple Falls, then 10 minutes more to get to High Falls.
It's located in DuPont State Recreational Forest. It's also the tallest waterfall in DuPont State Forest.
High Falls, on the Little River in Transylvania County, is a waterfall located in the DuPont State Forest, in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina along with Triple Falls and Hooker Falls. All 3 are located from this same parking area. There is another parking area near this one. It is worth going to visit all 3 falls. The trail leading to the base of Triple Falls was closed off, but can still see it good from the trail. And there is a link to Hooker Falls on the way back down the trail. I don't know the distance for that trail because I went back to the parking lot and took the trail on the other side of the parking lot, which is only a 15 minute walk from the parking lot one way and I went back the same way."
