Reviews Summary
POST Houston is widely praised as a vibrant and architecturally stunning destination, transforming an old post office into a modern hub. Visitors love the diverse food hall, the impressive rooftop park with city views, and the unique design elements. While some find the food a bit pricey, the overall experience, atmosphere, and photogenic nature make it a highly recommended spot in Houston.
"The Post in Houston is an incredible spot that’s perfect for both family outings and date nights. I've already been there twice this month and can’t wait to go back again soon. The atmosphere is vibrant and full of energy, with plenty of unique photo ops throughout the venue, especially the stunning staircases that are both modern and artistic. It’s a great place to just walk around, explore, and soak in the creative design.
There are tons of food options to choose from, ranging from international flavors to classic comfort dishes, making it easy to please everyone in your group. While the food can be a bit pricey, the quality and experience make it well worth it.
Upstairs offers a beautiful rooftop view of downtown Houston, and there’s a huge outdoor space that feels like a backyard park. It's complete with open seating, fresh air, and a laid-back vibe. Whether you’re going for the food, the views, or just to hang out in a cool space, the Post delivers on all fronts. It’s definitely become one of my favorite places in the city."

"Walked here from the aquarium because I was craving ice cream...did not expect it to be housed in an old post office converted into a giant food hall! I love all of the neon signage. It looks so colorful and futuristic! I bet it looks awesome at night! The skylawn was particularly beautiful with the view of the skyline and greenery. I can see why it would make a perfect wedding venue. I guess we came on a good weekend because we caught some Japanese women's wrestling!"

"My overall experience was good. If it weren't for the ice cream shop, I would have given it a five. The ice cream shop needs to be improved. The employees were very uninterested in being there. I have been to many ice cream parlors and $8 - $10 is average for a waffle cone with 1 - 2 scoops of ice cream. The waffle cone was not fresh, not sealed with the paper that keeps the ice cream from leaking on your hand, and they didn't have napkins. I had to go to the communal napkin dispenser above the garbage can and next to a broom and dustpan. It was so unsanitary. They were unbothered and not apologetic about not having napkins. It's a standard part of the service and unexpected for an ice cream parlor that charges up to $12 for its products.
The rest of my experience was great. The scenery and art were interesting. The South African food was so good and the employees at all the other vendor booths were professional and helpful."
