"Absolutely breathtaking! Couldn’t recommend this visit enough. We visited on a Sunday when they just opened, and it wasn’t busy at all. The staff are also so kind, helpful, informative and obviously passionate about Olana. The self-guided tour was perfect. They still have staff in every room, and they love answering all of the questions. Optimize your visit and take time to mosey the grounds and see the incredible view on Ridge Road!"

"This is must see for anyone interested in the Hudson River School. The park is wonderful for hiking - I walked the trail by the lake from the visitor center to the mansion. The mansion was built by the American painter Frederic Church in the 1800s and is filled with original objects and some of his smaller paintings. Incredible views of the Hudson river from the house are added plus. Tour guide was very knowledgeable.
