"This may be my favorite historic house tour I’ve taken in the US. The house has its original finishes and furnishings and is amazing in itself. The views are next level. Seeing something so complete and so particularly thought out that was created by an artist and reflects things he loved and places he went was special. If you’re in the area, go. The staff are also really fantastic. Totally exceeded expectations."

"This is must see for anyone interested in the Hudson River School. The park is wonderful for hiking - I walked the trail by the lake from the visitor center to the mansion. The mansion was built by the American painter Frederic Church in the 1800s and is filled with original objects and some of his smaller paintings. Incredible views of the Hudson river from the house are added plus. Tour guide was very knowledgeable.
Add this to your bucket list."
