Temperatures were cold enough to instantly freeze ❄️ boiling water at AMC Pinkham Notch Visitor Center this morning. The weekend forecast predicts more cold weather across the Northeast. Stay safe and warm! If you are planning to spend time in the outdoors this weekend, we recommend using extreme caution or postponing your trip. "great visitors center with a ton of park info, restrooms, showers, a small restaurant/concessions. everyone was super nice and informative. there are a bunch of trails off the visitors center that are well marked. would recommend stopping on your way through!"

Katie

"Parked here to hike to Crystal Cascade. The hike today was super icy the closer you got to the falls but still easy enough with my hiking stick and proper footwear. Was greeted by a half dozen red squirrels digging around for food around the visitor center. Good times!"

Robert Greenwood

"Lots of parking here. Many of the Hikers I met on trail said they drove up the night before and slept in their cars to hold a parking spot. There are signs that say no camping in the car but it's not pursued (so I'm told).
There are bathrooms here, gift shop, spot to fill up water and this the parking for the trail heads of Mount Washington."
