What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
The Million Dollar Cowboy Bar is a highly iconic and authentic Western experience, celebrated for its unique saddle barstools, lively atmosphere, and quality steakhouse dining. While prices can be on the higher side and the saddle seating isn't for everyone, most visitors find the energetic vibe, live music, and historical charm make it a must-visit spot in Jackson Hole.
"This place lives up to its iconic name. The basement serves as a fancier sit down restaurant with plenty of steak options while the upstairs includes live bands and a typical saloon Wild West setting. Weekends are very busy and if you dine at the restaurant, you can free entry to the bar upstairs (and can skip the line). We had a reservation but we still had to wait an additional 30 minutes to our table being ready for a party of 8."

"We visited this restaurant last night and I must say the experience was very positive. You can’t make reservations, but when we arrived, we had no trouble finding a table. The venue features four pool tables, providing a fun way to pass the time before or after dinner. There’s also a very distinctive wooden bar, decorated with antlers above it. The seating is designed like cowboy saddles, adding to the authentic Western atmosphere, which is mostly frequented by people dressed in cowboy attire.
As for the drinks, prices are slightly above average. When you head down to the actual dining area, the ambiance shifts dramatically, becoming much more elegant. Here too, prices are on the higher side, but they are fully justified by the excellent quality of the ingredients and the care put into both the presentation and the substance of the dishes. Both visually and in terms of flavor, the food was outstanding.
For the first time since arriving in the United States, I can honestly say I ate exceptionally well: they truly know how to cook. I had a duck filet with blueberry sauce, while my dining companions chose steaks, which were also of excellent quality.
The wine list is quite good, offering a selection of Italian and French wines. Although the prices are a bit steep—likely influenced by recent political tariffs—the quality of the wine was excellent.
In conclusion, it was a wonderful experience, and I would happily return."

"The place is very eye-catching and authentic, with cowboy-style decor that makes it unique. I loved the saddle-shaped bar stools, where you can sit and enjoy your drink. It's a very popular spot, but even so, I didn’t have to wait long to get in.
I ordered a local beer, which was delicious. The music was good and added to the overall atmosphere of the place.
However, there was one thing I didn’t like: the waiter who served me seemed bothered when I asked him something, and his attitude became a bit hostile. Other than that, everything else about the bar was a good experience.
Definitely a spot you shouldn’t miss if you visit Jackson."
