Warm, Not Hot: Manage Expectations

Kelly Warm Springs lives up to its name – it's warm, not hot. Don't expect a steamy soak; think more like a comfortable bath. It's a unique spot for wildlife viewing, especially moose, but swimming is best for the adventurous or those seeking a mild dip, not intense heat. Reddit

Wildlife & Water Quality Awareness

While beautiful, the water can be muddy and may contain bacteria. Avoid submerging your head to minimize risks. The real stars are often the moose and other wildlife that frequent the area, offering incredible photo opportunities. TikTokReddit

Reviews Summary

Kelly Warm Springs offers beautiful Teton views and a chance to see wildlife, particularly moose, but it's a warm spring, not a hot one, and the water can be muddy with potential bacteria. While some enjoy a mild soak, others find it underwhelming compared to true hot springs, though the unique fish population and clean bathrooms are noted positives.

"Colder than Lake Superior. Dirtier than swimming in an outhouse. Bull frog was mooing at me. Apparently there is brain eating amoeba and E. coli and I don’t doubt it. Pretty sweet views though. At least there is bathrooms here. If you want hot springs go to Astoria."

"It’s a warm spring not a hot spring. I swam in it during the winter but I am a madman and never get cold. Saw some buffalos and ducks. Great view of the Tetons. The spring is shallow and muddy, go to the gravel areas for the warmest water and solid ground. Keep your head out of the water unless you want a brain-eating ameba going up your nose."
