For me, a better bike trail along/near the beach - Santa Monica has a long bike trail that travels along the full length of the beach.

Most of the Jax beach bars are within a couple blocks of each other. Just park near brix and bar hop until you find what you like. Green room is cool for a brewery. Lynches, hoptinger or mangos are fun usually.
