What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Central Park as a beautiful and essential New York City escape, highlighting its vastness, iconic landmarks, and recreational opportunities. While many enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and diverse activities, some note that certain areas can become very crowded, and upkeep can vary. Overall, it's considered a must-visit for its blend of nature and urban energy.
"Well, all good things must come to an end. Last night, I dropped by the park to see its demise. It needed DID updating, uncluttered, and work, but not compete destruction. Im in favor of updates and some upgrades, but not bulldozed down. That was wrong. It was a hystoricallly significant place, and didnt need to be wiped off the map to make it nearly all concrete. It'll sadly be missed. The curved sidewalks, the gazebo, and a memorial tree planted when I was young amongst others, wiped out. This is not NYC, where the original design from this came from. But whatever. I'll distance myself from this now. Maybe from the whole place that was johnstiwn. It's not my home anymore. I took a bike ride thru a lot of the places I liked as a kid. Deplorable. Moxham, the west end, and places a blue-collar steelworkers kid would go. It's all falling apart. Rats, garbage, people that won't even look up or say hello. So sad to see it a going to ruin.
Well, that's my soap box speech. Take it for what it is."

"It's so sad 😭 the destruction of our once beautiful Park.."

"Very enjoyable for our grandchildren. The businesses in the community really go all out. Also, the giant Christmas tree is awesome!"
