Reviews Summary
Visitors find Daniel Boone Conservation Area to be a beautiful and secluded natural escape, particularly stunning in winter. "So beautiful even in dead of winter!!! Also, as much as this place feels like its out in the middle of nowhere, we had Verizon service up there. Just us and the wildlife though. Roads were pretty clear, we only got stuck once on an snowdrift!"

"It was confusing to find our way around here, and that includes driving. We tried to follow the map, which shows several parking areas and lakes. Several of the lots did not seem to exist.
We managed to find a couple of small lakes, but they were rather overgrown. We saw a hiking trail near one of them, which was blocked off with a sign saying it was closed because of logging. Some hunters decked out to the hilt in camouflage and face paint headed down the trail anyway, and we didn't want to get in the way of arrows.
The place is really out in the middle of nowhere. We had trouble getting cell service to connect to GPS for going home."

"Great place to camp & really secluded with two extremely steep hills to access. Also on the night I stayed here the whip-poor-wills were extremely vocal requiring me to wear ear plugs. As for the hills, I was able to drive up both hills with my pickup truck with truck pop-up camper & enclosed trailer with a UTV in the trailer."
