Day trip to Lani/Hulopoʻe Beach
Wanting to take the ferry over to the beach to get away from the crowds. Will pack a little bit to eat/drink but wanted to possibly have a small bite at the Ritz on the beach. I have read reviews that they don't let people pop into the restaurant. Is it worth the gamble?

Day trip to Molokini Crater or Hulopo'e?
We'll be spending a week in Maui in Feb, and were looking at a day trip for snorkeling. I'm looking at Sail Trilogy, and were going back and forth between their Molokini Crater tour, or their Discover Lanai tour which goes to Hulopo'e Bay. For those that have opinions on both,…
Better in December - Hulopoe Bay in Lanai or Honolua Bay for snorkeling?
Title — snorkeling from the beach in Hulopoe Bay in Lanai or snorkeling off a boat in Honolua Bay. Which would be better given winter December swells? Better in terms of clearer and calmer water, ocean life, etc. Thank you!

What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Hulopoe Beach for its pristine golden sands, tranquil atmosphere, and abundant marine life in the tide pools. The scenic coastal walks and convenient amenities like parking and restrooms are also frequently highlighted as positives. Some note that the waves can be large, making swimming challenging for young children, and that the beach can get busier with day-trippers.
"Visited Hulopo'e Beach park whilst our day trip to Lanai from Maui with my partner in May 2023. The beach park was quiet and peaceful, if that is what your looking for then this is for you, the beach is prestine and beautiful with golden sand. The waves were quite big when we were there, which wouldn't be ideal for we kids, but a we bit further out was great for Snorkeling away from the surf. The beach area has loads of great walks like out to sweetheat rock and sea cliffs which is a short walk was stunning. There is loads of rock pools which are full of wild life, and one pool is so big you can swim in it. There is loads of parking and restrooms with showers, but if you come over in the ferry and don't plan of going anywhere except the beach you won't even need a car. The beach is a short walk from Manele small boat harbour, the four seasons hotel is also right on the beach so your not far to go to visit the restaurant for food. A shuttle bus is also available from harbour to Lanai City for other food options. So if you Visit Lanai as a day trip your staying on the Island you must visit Hulopo'e Beach you won't regret it. I would go back in a heart beat as I loved it Steve and Jacqui fae Fife."
