What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Eagle Bluff for its beautiful natural setting, extensive hiking trails, and engaging High Ropes Course. The staff is frequently commended for being welcoming and knowledgeable, especially with children. While the camp-style food receives mixed reviews and cell service is limited, the overall experience is highly positive, particularly for educational groups and nature lovers.
"The kids all had an amazing time learning about nature and the outdoors. A nice property and the staff was very nice and caring and patient with the kids. The food was meh but it wasn't meant to luxurious."

"Wonderful facility for a relatively small-group camp! I went last summer for Stringwood (chamber music camp) and it was beautiful! Not too hot even in August- some days were quite warm (85) but some didn't get above 70. Of course, where I'm from, those are typical winter temps...
The ropes course was challenging but a lot of fun, canoeing was great, and we went for a few runs either through the trees or along the road. Lots of outdoor opportunities!
Food is relatively usual for a camp-type place- sometimes it's really good, sometimes it's meh. We didn't get a lot of chances to interact with the naturalists/Eagle Bluff staff, since a lot of what we did was music, but when we did, they were wonderful- very informative and helpful and welcoming.
The dorm building is nice, it has a large open area with a ping pong table, a fireplace, and a great view out the window, good for hanging out in. Rooms are suite-style, one bathroom/shower shared for two rooms that each have two bunk beds.
The only downsides- no cell service (not a huge deal, I mostly needed it to check the weather), there were a lot of bugs (though I imagine this is only true in the warm months), and I lost my phone while canoeing because of course I did.
Other than that it was an awesome experience! I came for the music, and stayed for the location!"

"We purchased tickets for the High Ropes Course and had an amazing time!! We knew with the storms over the weekend that there was a chance we wouldn’t be able to do it but we did. Everyone was very welcoming and knowledgeable. The other group didn’t show so it was just the two of us and the instructors Ian and Erinn who were wonderful! We had an amazing time and would recommend this to anyone and everyone. I did the ropes course as a child through school but the course has been updated and is all centrally located just a walk up the hill. There were many different choices of obstacles to try and the zip line was the best part. Ian gave us ways to make the course harder if they were not challenging enough as well which was not needed but greatly appreciated. We spent about an hour and half on the course and got off a bit early to make sure we were not stuck in the storms. Thank you to everyone there and we hope to be back in the future!"
