What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
The Luxor Hotel & Casino is a budget-friendly option on the Las Vegas Strip, praised for its iconic pyramid design and affordable rates. While some guests find the rooms dated and the location at the south end of the Strip a drawback, others appreciate its unique charm, good pool area, and proximity to neighboring resorts. It's often seen as a solid choice for those prioritizing value and a distinctive Vegas experience over luxury.
"I made my reservations through Southwest vacations and it did not disappoint. Our room was very spacious. There was a seating area… huge bathroom and a gigantic tub with a great view! Trust me when I say I fully allowed myself to indulge!
I took my son to see Bruno mars and this hotel is pretty close to MGM. We caught an uber but throughout our trip we walked around a lot! It’s pretty centrally located near everything!"

"My stay at the Luxor was fantastic! The pool was a great spot to relax with friends, and there were plenty of food options to satisfy any craving. The stores had everything we needed, from necessities to unique souvenirs. The museums were a highlight—especially the anatomy exhibit, which was both informative and fun. Highly recommend!"

"Our stay at the Luxor Hotel had its ups and downs. The room was generally clean, but we noticed a few strands of long hair in the bathtub, likely left by a previous guest. Additionally, there was some dust around the edges of the bed. However, the mattress and pillows were exceptionally comfortable—better than any other hotel I’ve stayed at, which made for a great night’s sleep.
As someone who is meticulous about water quality, I tested the tap water, which had a reading of around 400 TDS (total dissolved solids), indicating poor quality. On the other hand, the ice from the hotel had a reading of approximately 10, which is excellent and a pleasant surprise.
One drawback was the distance from the hotel to the main Strip—it’s quite a long walk, especially after a full day of exploring. Another issue was the noise. Conversations and movement in the hallways were surprisingly loud, whether from guests or staff, which could be disruptive at times.
Additionally, the food court was somewhat disappointing as it lacked variety. The options were limited, which made it difficult to find something appealing after a long day.
While the hotel’s iconic design and unique atmosphere are a draw, it’s clear that there’s room for improvement in cleanliness, soundproofing, food options, and convenience. If these areas are addressed, Luxor could offer a much more satisfying experience."
