What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Excalibur is widely recognized as a budget-friendly option on the Las Vegas Strip, praised for its affordability and family-friendly atmosphere. While some find the hotel dated, recent renovations in the Royal Tower offer clean and comfortable accommodations. Guests appreciate the unique medieval theme, the lively casino, and the entertaining Tournament of Kings show. However, some visitors note that certain areas can feel worn, and the overall experience may not match that of higher-end resorts.
"We thoroughly enjoyed the Tournament of Kings, September 1st, 2025. They really put on a show and the audience's enthusiasm is contagious. The service throughout the show is great; the staff is quick and attentive. The food is decent. The night we went our plates had a baked chicken quarter, a few small potatoes, 1/2 corn on the cob, and a good hot roll. A fruit turnover was the dessert. They served Pepsi or water with the meal. If you want anything else you can purchase it. They make some interesting shake concoctions with or without alcohol. The horses are beautiful and look healthy. It's a great show for all ages. My 13 yo granddaughter was enthralled and loved it."

"Stayed Here on a Budget Trip with Friends – Honest Review
Just got back from a trip with a few friends — we were looking for a fun, affordable getaway, nothing fancy, just clean and comfortable. This place had potential, but definitely needs some attention. Let’s break it down:
The Good:
The on-site buffet was surprisingly decent — good variety and quick service, which made meals easy. Also liked that there were a few shops right inside the property, so we didn’t have to go far for essentials or quick snacks.
The Bad:
The rooms could really use a refresh. Ours had a strong musty smell, and the AC unit was covered in dust, like it hadn’t been cleaned in ages. The towels were stained, and instead of real glassware, we got flimsy plastic cups — not what you’d expect even at a budget spot.
The Ugly:
Cleanliness is the biggest issue. It genuinely felt like no one had deep-cleaned the place in a while. From the state of the AC to the linens, the lack of attention to basic hygiene was disappointing.
Overall, if you’re traveling with friends and just need a place to crash without expecting much, it might work — but don’t come here looking for comfort or quality. Hopefully, the management steps up their maintenance game because the location and setup have potential."

"Just left the Excalibur and the rooms were great sizes, the beds were soft. Pillows were soft the air worked so amazingly it kept room super cold. Bathroom was clean and a good size. In a good spot to start the strip and walk down the rest. The castle was pretty and decorated nicely for the theme. I’ve cream inside was so good! I had a good time but I also didn’t. The hotel in certain spots smelled of sewage for one whole day our room smelled like it also. We didn’t get room service at all until Saturday and had been there since Wednesday. I had to keep going to them for trash bags and towels and giving them our dirty stuff. The day they did finally clean the room they had put damp blankets on the bed so that was irritating to try and sleep in. I loved the pool just didn’t like that I couldn’t take my drink in there I had to buy the drinks from the pool which are crazy prices. I get yes we are in Vegas but some of the prices in the casinos are ridiculous you can get great prices when you go off the strip. The parking at times could be a night mare. I would stay there again if need be but if I had the option I would try something else but if your looking for good room prices I would definitely say the Excalibur because it’s one of the cheap ones but it’s still nice there. I won’t say a few bad things would of keep me from giving them another chance"
