"The Eldridge Hotel has a beautifully decorated lobby and restrooms, but the rooms themselves are pretty plain. There’s no coffee in the rooms or the lobby, which was disappointing, but the bar more than made up for it — great drinks and even better service. The front desk staff were friendly but clearly overworked and distracted.
The location is perfect, right on a lively street with plenty to do, though it can get loud at night. Parking is nearly impossible, so plan ahead. The room was overpriced for what it was, but the overall atmosphere of the hotel almost balanced that out.

Rooms could probably use an update (including the hard mattress), but they were really clean. Honestly, a clean room is the most important to me. I would definitely recommend this place to people staying in Lawrence. You can’t ask for a better location!"
