What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the majestic and powerful nature of Lemolo Falls, often comparing its lush, misty environment to Hawaii. The hike is considered rewarding, though the return climb can be challenging. While the road can be rough, the stunning views and refreshing swimming holes make it a worthwhile destination for many.
"This was a fun hike. The roads are closed to the first trail and the second trail is the only one open. There are people at the road closer signs that will point you in the right direction. The road is easy to get to until the last part. Itβs not very technical and looks more difficult than it actually is. Just did it in a Subaru cross trek. But a car could make it. Hike was easy to get down but a hard walk back. Getting down to the water is a little sketchy. Wet and muddy but worth it."

"I enjoyed the drive out and the hike down to the falls. Remember, you need to hike back up to the trailhead, so give yourself time and all the breaks you need.
As you get close to the falls, the ground becomes muddy and slick. There's not much maintenance the closer you get to the falls, but most of the trail is clear and dry. You can get close enough to feel the spray.
There are a few places where the trail is narrow and steep enough to slip if you're not careful.
It's an impressive waterfall, but without a real place to enjoy it, I will only return if others insist that I join them."

"100%, such a majestic β¨οΈ feeling when you arive after coming out of the high desert and down the canyon. Arrid dry junipers to the humid cool breeze with sounds of the roaring waters along the way. The misty fog coming off the surrounding foliage at the base of the fall's, just amazing!"
