"Raven Run Nature Sanctuary is an absolute gem in Lexington, but I will warn you to be ready to actually hike. The trails are well maintained; however, there are steep inclines along with uneven terrain making it harder for young kids or older individuals if they aren’t properly prepared. However, if you do go, all the trails are absolutely beautiful and there is a ton of variety, I highly recommend the trails that end up at the Kentucky River overlook because the view is absolutely stunning. However, if you are lucky enough to go there right after a big storm you might even be lucky enough to see their waterfalls, but unfortunately if it was a drier week there likely wouldn’t be any water flow. When I went, I got there around the middle of the day and there was still plenty of parking and I didn’t see anyone else on the trails, I also went into the visitor's center and the people in there were extremely helpful and gave my friend and I amazing recommendations for a trail to go on. Overall, if you are looking for a more intense set of trails, I recommend checking out Raven Run."

"I went to ravens run on Friday for the first time in a while. I decided to do one of the shorter trails since I didn’t have very much time, but it was definitely still worth it. The trails are very nice there, and it felt good to be able to throw on some music and just walk on the trails for a bit. I think the best thing about Ravens Run is the number of trails they have, and how they are all different from each other. Some of the trails are a lot longer and harder, and the other ones are shorter and a lot easier. Another one of my favorite things about this place is how peaceful it is. Being able to walk on the trails and see all of the gorgeous views and hear the sounds of nature is definitely worth it. I highly recommend that everyone visits here."
