Anyone know a good ski resort for beginners?

Thanks for helping a new Chicagoan! We're four twenty-somethings looking for a day at a ski area within a couple of hours of downtown that is good for just starting skiing/boarding. So basically multiple bunny hills, decent lessons, plenty of food options/bars right in the…

Great Alternative to City Skiing

A perfect spot for a quick ski fix without leaving the Chicago area. :cityscape:

Family Fun Guaranteed

Kids love it! Even scared ones don't want to leave after their first try. :child:

Smallest public ski area you’ve been to?

For me it’s Ski Ward in Massachusetts, which Google Earth measures at 170 vertical feet and 20 inbound acres

"a good place to learn snowboarding and skiing. there are very easy slopes for beginners and more difficult slopes with obstacles for confident users. the only thing i didn't like was that you have to hold on to the rope to climb - it was difficult."

"The best sport experience ever! We enjoyed and had so much fun learning to ski. As beginners we think it was a fantastic opportunity and experience ⛷🎿 the service was great, everyone was kind, helpful & patient.

My daughter was scared at first and after she didn’t want to leave. We even went back 2 days after for her to continue having fun.

The restaurant service was great. We had drinks before and after, we also eat the nice meals on the menu."

Jenn James

"Went on the first day after having closed for weeks without snow and cold temperatures.

1:30pm entry with no long lines for tickets and rentals, went through smoothly.

They were well prepared for a crowd as there were a lot of staff directing traffic to ropes and maintaining order. Also a lot of staff throughout the rope tows who tried to help many fallen people and get the tows to run as smooth as possible."
