recommendations for Winery tours and tastings in the state?
Taking the gf out for our 1 year anniversary this weekend I was surprised to learn how many wineries exist in CT so I would love some personal reviews and recommendations on them. http://www.ctwine.com/wineries-and-vineyards/
Is there anything to do on a Sunday around Litchfield, CT?
Hey everyone! So next Sunday I'm staying at a pretty cool inn in Litchfield with the girl I'm dating (who will hopefully officially be my girlfriend that afternoon...fingers crossed lol) We're from NY, but I was wondering if there's anything to do by Litchfield. She loves wine…

What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Haight Brown Vineyard offers a charming atmosphere with scenic views and a cozy interior, making it a pleasant stop, especially after outdoor activities. While some guests have noted mixed experiences with wine quality and variety, new ownership is actively working on renovations and improving the wine selection. The vineyard is praised for its ambiance and complementary food offerings like cheese boards.
"2.4.23 The venue itself is amazing with comfy spots to sit in such as by the fireplace, the window, separate rooms if you have a larger party etc. The food items are also wonderful. As for the wine, perhaps it was the timing, but we only had 3 wines to choose from, and of the 4 of us, no one loved them. And all of our teeth got stained. Stained so badly that our tongues looked like the smurfs. We were told that they'll be buying some of the wines from Digrazia so hopefully that'll improve the quality of the wines. Because this place is really quite the gem. I wish them luck. And I hope next time the wine won't stain. Thanks"

"Great afternoon here! Just outside of the town center and down the road from some great hiking trails.
The wine flights are any selection of 4 for $15. They also have some nice cheese plates to share.
The seating on the upper deck gives a great view of the vineyard.
There is a little store inside that has all the wines for sale, as well as some local products and wine accessories.
Went around 1:30pm and had no problem getting a table for four."

"My friend and I stopped in here after visiting the wonderful cowboy museum down the road. We split a bottle of the Pink Cadillac rose and the charcuterie board. We enjoyed both very much. Justin, one of the new owners, served us and told us the entire place had been renovated and the grape harvest increased under the new ownership. I had visited here a number of years ago and the place did look quite different. Still have my glass from the previous visit! Looks like a nice place to host events."
