"What an amazing spot! I picked up a brochure for this from the Livingston Parish Tourist Information Center, and I am so glad I looked up the details. They are open for tours the first Saturday of each month. There is a section with interactive displays and informational placards, and then a short video to start your tour. The tour is impressive and gives a lot of details about what they do here. I would recommend this for anyone in the area."

"The museum staff is great! We were able to see the equipment they had on display and the tour guide explained everything in detail. The control room was also great and they let us talk to the operator. The bridge goes on top of the tunnel and you can see all the way down to the other end. The tunnel is 4 km (2.5 miles) long, which means you should be able to see it curve as it goes further away from the viewer, but it's perfectly straight to accommodate the laser. We were a bit disappointed that we didn't get to see any aliens, extra terrestrials, UFOs, or UAPs here, but we went on Saturday, so it's possible that they were just in storage or off on holiday for the weekend."
