"The Autry Museum is truly a hidden gem in Los Angeles. After living here for 42 years, I finally visited—and I’m so glad I did. I recently became a member, and the value for families is incredible.
We’ve loved every experience so far: Cowboy Day, Toy Story movie night, Toddler Tuesdays, a guided museum tour, and simply enjoying the beautiful open spaces. It’s a wonderful spot for playdates since it’s centrally located, and the exhibits and activities make it a fun, kid-friendly destination.
If you’re looking for a place that blends culture, history, and family-friendly fun, the Autry is a perfect choice. I'm so glad I found this place and I'm a frequent visitor now."

"Fun event - outdoor movie with food trucks. Museum was closed but I used to work there 30 years ago and love that the place is always staying traditional whole adapting to younger cultural needs. 💯💕💕"

"A fun museum, though I only got a brief glimpse at it, since my two kids' attention span was pretty limited by the time we arrived.
We visited on National Cowboy Day, and my kids absolutely loved the trick rope performers (especially since 2 of the 3 were kids about their ages!). After we finished watching that performance, I persuaded them to give me an extra 20 min to see a little more.
I enjoyed the exhibit on Imagined Wests, and the exhibit on Black Cowboys.
Why 4 stars, not 5? I wish there had been a little more signage on where to find exhibits, and 2 of the sections were hard to understand what the theme or joining element of that exhibit was. But I intend to come another day, without the kids, so I can more fully appreciate all they have to offer!"
