What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Stoney Point Park for its stunning natural beauty, challenging rock climbing, and panoramic valley views. It's a beloved spot for hikers and climbers seeking adventure and a peaceful escape. However, some note the limited facilities, particularly restrooms, and the potential for confusing trails.
"Truly enjoyed my day of adventure at Stoney Point Park. The climate was perfect for this kind of calm and not so much of a crowded hike. I started off on a 2 hour walk up to the park by way of Canoga Avenue. Spotted the hike entrance right adjacent to the 118 freeway. It is true...as you begin the hike the trail is wide. As you near the decent area, where you'll see a lot more of the huge boulders, narrow paths will appear. The view is expansive and you will appreciate the scenery of all the Valley! Great residential area surrounding the park as well. Highly recommend this location for a peaceful hike!👍🥾🧗"

"Got some hiking trails and rock climbing here. Lots of classic bouldering routes and a good share of top roping and trad. Check mountain project for all the route details. Some routes are a bit hard to get to."

"Stoney Point Park is a beautiful natural spot, especially popular with hikers and rock climbers. The trails are rugged and scenic, offering great views and a nice escape into nature without going too far from the city. The massive boulders and rock formations make it unique and adventurous.
However, it’s worth noting that the park doesn’t have many facilities. Restrooms are limited, and there isn’t really a playground or picnic area, so it’s more of a hiking and climbing destination than a family park. The trails are dog-friendly, but it’s best to keep pets on a leash due to the rocky terrain and wildlife."
