I think the best part is when they turn on the actual machines, you hear the noise and imagine the heat / humidity for 12 hour shifts, and the overall poor working conditions these women dealt with just for a decent wage. It's also an amazing display of what the early industrial revolution was able to engineer, bringing to life a sea change in how the nation (and the world) got both its textiles as well as began to switch from an agrarian economy."
