What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Reviews for coworking spaces in the Capitol East District are mixed, with some users praising the natural light and views, while others express significant frustration with management, billing issues, and a lack of essential amenities like private call spaces. The premium pricing is often cited, with expectations of higher service levels not always being met.
"I regret choosing this as my coworking space, but sadly I'm locked into a contract they won't let me out of, despite my needs not being met + my requests for improvements being ignored.
You're not allowed to take calls in shared spaces, which makes sense as a general courtesy, but there are only two private "phone booth" rooms. I constantly have issues with there not being available phone booths when I need them. Private offices are way too expensive, so that's not an option for me.
I wrote an email for the center manager to forward to higher management, and I've heard no updates about plans to make available more spaces for private phone calls.
Also, the photos online are misleading. The photos of all the light wooden finishes is a floor that is apparently bought out by Google. The floor that's actually available looks nothing like that, and has no open-air working spaces or places to sit and eat your lunch.
Happy to upgrade this review to more stars if feedback is actually acted on & the space is improved."

"I would highly consider looking into other office spaces before leasing here!
Back in February my 2 year lease on my office was ending and I was looking to renew. The renewal rate was >100% of the current rental rate, so I contacted sales to see what they could do about a lower rate since we liked the office space and hadn’t had any prior issues. I spoke with a sales rep and he was able to get the monthly rate for a new agreement lowered (still above what we were currently paying and still a bit high compared to other office spaces) if we signed a new agreement. We were told that once we signed a new agreement, our old one would be terminated and the new agreement will go into effect in June and that there shouldn’t be any major changes/issues since we were remaining in the same office just under a new agreement. I was also told my Regus account would show I owed a security deposit for the new agreement, but that he would put in a ticket to transfer my current retainer to the new agreement, so I wouldn’t need to do anything. That’s when all hell broke loose!
Not only was the retainer never transferred, I was charged all sorts of late fees for not paying the deposit AND the June office rent on the day I signed the agreement! About a week went by and the office manager reached out to me saying I owed over $2k and that it would need to be paid immediately to continue services with Spaces. I explained the situation to her and what I was lead to believe from the sales rep and was told that the sales reps don’t really deal with the invoicing and management side, so they don’t really know how things work. She then said she would put a ticket in for a partial refund for the late fees, but couldn’t guarantee anything. The retainer was never transferred and I’ve yet to receive ANY credits and this was back on March 13.
Also, at the end of March I received a notice from Spaces legal department saying I owed over $5k for an “unresolved balance” that mind you was nowhere reflected on my account.
I was able to get in touch with finance and was told the legal issue was resolved, but I still remain skeptical on the matter.
I tried calling the number on the website to get this entire issue escalated to corporate but you can’t get a live person and the automated system just tells you to fill out a form on the site, so I filled out the complaint form.
I specifically asked for this issue to be escalated to corporate management for resolution on the form I filled out online (because you can’t get a live person). After 2 weeks of silence, the community manager from the facility reached out asking about my questions and concerns when they were made clear in the complaint. I asked again for my issue to be escalated and was told my complaint would be “passed along” for a timely resolution…..that was a month ago today and I’ve heard NOTHING! However, I’m sure I’ll be receiving an invoice for next month’s payment. It seems like I’m just being brushed off and pacified by people telling me they’re “putting in tickets” or “passing along” concerns.
I would highly recommend considering other office spaces before settling on this one. I thought I was getting premium service and quality given the premium pricing, especially when you consider the average cost/sq. ft of space in the city of Madison. The Regus Spaces facilities are definitely on the higher end."

"Don't let the pictures they provide fool you. This is the only space available for coworking. The patio area would have been a nice addition, but the wifi is unusable there."
