Whatawp my fellow national parkers! Once this government shutdown ends, my girl and I have some national park passes to burn. I just saw we are really close to mammoth cave. Looks really awesome! Someone please tell me the secrets of really getting the bear experience there!

Where is the best viewing for the northern lights tonight? Is there any clear hills or areas near the city?
I'm going to try to go to Mammoth Cave. Their site says that the park and cave city are stargazing compliant. Also, I would download that aurora app to help with tonight. It can appear and disappear very, very quickly. I am beyond a novice, but I'd put our chance of seeing…

Reviews Summary
Visitors find the Mammoth Cave Baptist Church and Cemetery to be a poignant and historically significant site, offering a quiet glimpse into the lives of early settlers and cave explorers. While some note the church's upkeep and the basic facilities, the historical context and the resting place of Floyd Collins are consistently highlighted as compelling reasons to visit.
"The old Mammoth Cave Baptist church is lasting testament to the time when there were people living in the small communities that are no longer around since the area was claimed by the NPS. But you can still visit this building and just imagine what the church services were like. I visit this place from time to time since my Grandparents and Great Grandparents are buried in the adjacent Mammoth Cave Cemetery."

"Attached cemetery perhaps best known as resting place of Floyd Collins. One of the last visible and most accessible extant vestiges of life in Mammoth Cave, Kentucky before this area became a National Park. While here, it's useful to picture all the signs of human existence that used to be on this ridge and along Flint Ridge Road inside the federal boundary. This church has a bit too much traffic, perhaps, and shows the signs of it. Nice contemplative spot. Untended outhouse behind chapel."

"This is a historic Baptist Church that is North East of the National Park Visitor Center on Flint Ridge Road. The church is historic and not very well known as it is off the beaten path. Make sure to visit this before it completely falls down. This is also the final resting place of Floyd Collins."
