What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise McIntyre Ski Area for its family-friendly atmosphere, particularly the popular snow tubing and beginner ski lessons. The staff are consistently noted as helpful and efficient, contributing to a positive experience. While some find the mountain small and rentals pricey, most agree it's a great local spot for accessible winter fun.
"First timer here and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Went with a couple friends and we had a great time. We did tubing. The staff was very helpful and fast paced so even with the lines we weren't waiting long. The tubing is great for kids and adults. If yiu go for the earlier time slots like 9 to 11 or 11 to 1, you won't be stuck in line for your turn for tubing. Later than that you'll be waiting each turn you have. My friend who has gone many times explained this to me. We went 11 to 1 and only a couple times were we waiting and it would be just one person ahead of us. Only ages 5 and up. The tubes go a bit fast so if you have a 5 year old who isn't into adventure and speed, probably not a good idea for them. I loved it."

"Nice little ski resort, easy access off HW 93. The mountain is small but well maintained. They have only one lift (two seated). Total slopes are around 4, mainly blue. There is small area for training with built for lifting. Getting access cards and rentals were easy and fast. Prices are reasonable. Staff are friendly and helpful."

"When we arrived, the parking lot was full. We went straight to rent equipment, which was a bit expensive. As we headed towards the lift, we discovered that the site was really small, had few trails, and was very busy. It was more suitable for families or happy people who come to train, not for someone looking for a ski vacation with a wide variety of trails."
