"This is a nice trail. It was a little short for me since I’m usually on the Silver Comet. But overall, it was a nice quick walk. The waterway areas where a little smelly, which is the only reason I did not give it five stars. But overall it makes the cut to be added to my list of faves"

"This is a very eclectic-like trail. Some areas are peaceful and quiet, some areas are noisy, like near the underpass areas, due to the highway and road traffic. There's also a stream that somewhat follows the path. Some areas have some stagnant water, so bring your bug spray!
I saw 2 good sized turtles today. It's a clean walking path, I havent stepped in doggy doo-doo (yet), and there's a good amount of trash barrels & sitting benches throughout. I haven't walked the entire trail but I believe it's pretty long. There's restrooms at the top of the hill (at the entry), but I've never used them. They look clean, from the outside looking in anyway. Trash is never over filled but the 1st ones near the parking area seem to fill up first, attracting bees and flies. That's really my only complaint, if I had to leave one. I do walk alone, with my pepper spray, but have not yet felt any need to put my thumb on the trigger.
Happy walking !"

Trail Connectivity and Expansion
An exciting ongoing project is the Noonday Creek Trail Extension, which aims to add another 1.5 miles, linking Highway 92 to Shallowford Road in Cobb County. This expansion is a significant step towards a larger vision: connecting the Noonday Creek Trail to the renowned Silver Comet Trail. Once completed, this will create an even more expansive and interconnected trail system, appealing to serious cyclists and long-distance hikers.
Wildlife and Natural Features
However, some sections of the trail can have stagnant water, which can lead to a noticeable odor and attract insects. It's advisable for visitors to bring bug spray to ensure a more comfortable experience, especially during warmer months. Despite these minor drawbacks, the natural scenery, including peaceful riverside areas and open meadows, provides a refreshing escape.
Accessibility and User Experience
The trail is equipped with amenities such as trash barrels and sitting benches strategically placed along the route, enhancing user comfort. Restrooms are also available at one of the main entry points. While generally clean and well-maintained, some users note that trash cans near parking areas can fill up quickly. The trail's popularity means it can get crowded on weekends, so weekday visits are recommended for a more tranquil experience.
