What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about Big Ridge State Park's natural beauty, lake access, and historical charm, making it ideal for day trips and longer stays. While many praise the spacious campsites, clean facilities, and enjoyable water activities, some note that certain hiking trails could benefit from better maintenance and that campsites can feel crowded.
"Spent five days here and could have easily spent more! This campground offers so much! We rented a kayak and fishing boat one day, swam at their beach almost every night, took beautiful
pics next to their grist mill at sunset and the list goes on. We didn’t even scratch the surface on what they have to offer. Their campsites are spacious and bath houses are clean. Their wood burns great, so buy without hesitation. Many times you go to campgrounds and their wood doesn’t burn, not the case here. The campground is quiet and peaceful (at least our experience). We will
definitely be back!!"
