Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently rave about the breathtaking, otherworldly blue of Tamolitch Pool, calling it a must-see natural wonder. While the hike is manageable, the rocky terrain requires caution. The frigid water is a refreshing, albeit brief, experience for those brave enough to swim.

"It was an easy to moderate hike. Moderate only because you have a ton of volcanic rock your walking on and can make you trip or roll your ankle if you're not careful. This trail is not ADA accessible. It would be best to hike this trail so that when you get to the end point, the sun is in the center of the sky shining down on the blue pool. We were there around 2:30 and the sun was over the tree-line, but not high enough to light up the pool (see pictures). The hike itself was pretty and it was nice seeing the McKenzie River and going over two wooden bridges.

It was a moderately challenging hike, but the views from above the pool were absolutely worth it. The water is an incredible shade of blue!
