Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise Hubbard Park for its natural beauty, diverse activities, and community events. The Festival of Silver Lights is a standout attraction, drawing widespread admiration for its festive magic. While the park is generally well-maintained, some visitors note a lack of respect for nature in certain areas, with discarded food near wildlife signs. Reddit

"This is a fantastic park. Most trails are well marked and maintained. There is a nice pond at the bottom as well as a pool and playground.
The star of the show is the tower, though. You can drive to it May through October, but I love earning it with a nice hike."

"This is one of my favorite local parks in Meriden. Now I go to take long walks & take in all the wildlife and beautiful scenery. I have been going here since I was a little one. I enjoy feeding the ducks. I buy duck pellets at Tractor Supply, very healthy food for them. You will also see turtles in the pond.
They have many festivals here, Ethnic, Holidays etc. The Daffodil Festival is my favorite. They also have bands playing for entertainment during the festivals. You can walk or drive up to the castle. It has amazing views, especially in the fall. There is a pool for swimming and a large playscape park for the children. I live in Florida now, but when I visit my family in Ct, I always make it a point to visit Hubbard Park. Oh, & at Christmas time, they have tons of lights displayed ( all kinds of animal figures) & it is BEAUTIFUL. Great park to picnic with the family."

Dani Girl

"Didn't explore too much but enjoyed having a quick last second picnic with take out food we had picked up. Looked beautiful and it was lovely to sit in the shade with a light breeze and the castle in the distance."
