"I enjoyed my stay at Devil’s Head. Golf trip, single overnight stay. Rooms are clean, have a shower, bed, mini fridge, all aid need to enjoy it for a night. No frills. Golf courses are EXTREMELY hilly, but quite fun to play both tracks. Also, can’t beat the price. If you’re looking for an off the beaten path type place, Devil’s Head is your joint. I’ll be back no doubt t."

"Four of us bought the golf pkg ..1 night and 2 rounds of golf. Golf was great. Courses well maintained and friendly staff.
The resort is in an absolutely gorgeous setting.
No one was ever at the desk in the lobby both times, checking in and out, I had to peak around a door to find someone. The person didn’t understand English very well and didn’t understand that I was asking for a printed receipt.
The lobby and the rooms are dated but very, very clean.
The TV did not work in our room.
The nice restaurant was not opened and we were disappointed. Had dinner in the bar and the food was ok even though there wasn’t much of a menu.
The bartender/waiter didn’t understand English very well so communication was difficult.
At 4 pm I went in to the nice gift shop to inquire how late they were opened and the staff member looked up from his phone and abruptly said he was closing now. I don’t know why it would close so early when the golfers were all finishing up and the bar was filling up. Would have been an opportune time for people to shop.
Later in the night we wanted chips and a pop but the vending machines were completely empty.
Breakfast the next morning was good and we had a great waitress."

"Bought a golf package that included one night and two rounds of golf. I purchased two extra nights as well.
I'll start with the location. It's a beautiful area, one of the most scenic I've seen in Wisconsin. It is sort of remote though. To get to a proper grocery store, you'll have to drive a little, but the scenery makes it worth it.
The "resort"... Once we checked in and started walking to our room, I noticed a smell. Sort of like a locker room smell, in the hallway. Then I smelled the chlorine from the indoor pool. Then we made it to the room. Why would a resort put a couple in a room with two small beds? That was the first issue. The next was the room itself. Old beds, uncomfortable. Sink with low pressure water. Shower worked great, so there's that. There was a stain on the sheet on one bed. Towels felt like sandpaper. Needless to say, we were not happy with the place
The restaurant.. or lack thereof. We went to the restaurant for dinner, to find it closed. The bar was open and they had food...well, one food item...pizza. So we had to leave to go find something to eat. Not ideal. We did have breakfast the next morning in the restaurant, which was actually open. We paid over 40.00 for two basic breakfasts. We could've had a better breakfast at McDonald's for 15.00.
Now the golf... The Prairie course was one of the most beautiful courses I've played. The Glacier course was less so and with more bugs, but I enjoyed it too. For the most part, both courses were maintained well with only a couple of greens needing some serious attention.
This was our first stay at a resort, and to be honest, we expected more. I promised my wife we'd try the Dells next time."

Tailored advice for your travel style
👨👩👧 Families with Kids
For families planning a trip, consider the two-night minimum stay requirement for lodging. While the resort has an indoor pool, the overall amenities might be basic. Packing snacks and drinks could be a good idea, as vending machines have been reported as empty. If your priority is a wide range of kid-focused entertainment and dining, exploring other nearby options might be beneficial.
💰 Budget Travelers
When considering a visit, look for golf packages that bundle lodging and rounds of golf, as these often present the best deals.
