What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Forestview Natural Area is praised for its peaceful, low-traffic nature walks, particularly the serene pine grove loop. Visitors appreciate its accessibility and suitability for dog walking. However, some note the presence of mosquitoes and wet trail conditions in certain seasons, as well as the proximity to private property.
"Nice forest walk close to the rail trail. Unfortunately no secure bike parking, Highly visible keep out and no trespassing signs all along either side of the trail so you get the sense the neighbours are worried about wanderers. Overall peaceful and low traffic nature walk level difficulty. Wear mosquito repellent."
Andrew Maul
"Decent trail that loops around. Clean and cred for. Parking available at trail head.
You don't not walk by the river on this part of the trail. There were some mosquitoes but not unbearable. This trail will be wet in the spring."
Hayden Jones
"Very nice walk. Some wet areas. You can get 2 miles in by walking the loop twice. It's in a narrow piece of land surrounded by private land. The private land is used for hunting so I wouldn't consider it a safe place to walk Oct-Dec unless you wear an orange vest."
