What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors often praise the Milwaukee RiverWalk for its peaceful atmosphere and scenic beauty, offering a refreshing urban escape. The unique sight of bridges lifting and the charm of the Historic Third Ward are frequently highlighted. However, some reviewers note concerns about water cleanliness and a lack of direct amenities like vendors along the path.
"Milwaukee is a clean, quiet, and gentle city, and the Riverwalk truly reflects that character. I expected to see a beautiful riverside view, but what surprised me most was just how peaceful it was. At first, I enjoyed watching a sightseeing boat pass by, but then I witnessed something even more fascinating—a bridge lowering to reconnect the road. It was such an unexpected and unique sight, something you don’t get to see just anywhere. The Riverwalk offers both calmness and moments of wonder, making it a memorable part of the city."

"From a fitness perspective of a scenic run focusing on your health and steps, this is a great spot for a good morning or evening workout.
If you are here for recreational purposes, this is not the spot. Very nasty and trashed water that looked far from its natural state. Lots of cigars, alcohol, and beer lying on the side of the walkway by the river. Mediocre experience coming from a frequenter of the Chicago Riverwalk."

"Despite the rain, Milwaukee’s RiverWalk proved to be stunning! . The gentle patter of raindrops only enhanced the beauty of the riverside views, creating a serene and almost magical atmosphere. Whether it's sunny or rainy, the RiverWalk always offers a unique and enchanting experience. Don’t let a little weather (or the half naked homeless lady changing her pants) stop you from exploring this gem in the heart of the city! 🌧️🌊✨"
