What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Liberty Park for its diverse offerings, from historical monuments like 'The Sphere' to family-friendly amenities like playgrounds and splash pads. The stunning views of the Statue of Liberty from Liberty State Park are a major highlight. Some newer playgrounds have received mixed reviews regarding safety features, but overall, the parks are considered great destinations for recreation and reflection.
"I love the park itself, there are amazing activities and events there, the splash pad is lovely, the only thing that I caution is the new playground.
It's amazing to look at, however there are 3 levels and 2 steep walls leading to the bottom. Also, the "big kid" section has a twisty slide that's so shallow. My kid twisted almost all the way around, hitting his mouth, and I've seen 2 kids fall out. There's a sort of ropes type walking course in the middle and if your child is little at all their feet fall right through. The lowest level is perfect though!
I still recommend checking it out, just pay attention."

"We visited Liberty Park recently and were super impressed! It’s such a cool, thoughtfully designed playground and fully gated with entry gates at both the top and bottom, which made it feel really safe and secure.
There are shaded benches with canopies (major win for parents on hot days), and although it was warm when we went, the cloudy weather plus shade made it really comfortable.
One of the standout features is the handicap-accessible ramp that winds through all the levels, a fantastic inclusive touch. Our kids loved how everything was connected, they could climb, explore, and move from one section to another without ever touching the ground. Super fun and perfect for imaginative play!
The spinning ball was a huge hit, it fits multiple kids and gets going fast. There's also a smaller splash pad (great for cooling off) and an awesome, fully shaded basketball court.
This park was clearly built with a lot of thought."

"Liberty Park has become one of our family favorites. My kids and I have enjoyed the two-level playground, splashed around at the splash pad, and even celebrated a party in the picnic area. The playground is gated with two entry points, which gives parents a little extra peace of mind while kids play.
The park does get pretty crowded, but it still feels safe and welcoming. There’s plenty of shade, and lots of seating around both the splash pad and play areas so parents can relax while keeping an eye on the kids.
The splash pad itself is large, with fun water features for all ages, and the picnic spaces are roomy and shaded — perfect for gatherings.
Overall, it’s a lively, family-friendly spot where kids can burn off energy and parents can actually sit back and enjoy too."
