"The Strangest Things event at Historic Speedwell was a nice evening filled with fun activities. I particularly enjoyed participating in the escape room and being present for the séance, which added a thrilling touch to the night. It was great to see that they also offered activities like pumpkin painting, and the apple cider was delicious!
However, there are a few areas where the experience could be enhanced. When we first arrived, there wasn’t much lighting, which could have added to the spooky atmosphere. It would be great if guests were encouraged to bring flashlights or battery-powered lanterns to create a more immersive experience.
Additionally, for visitors unfamiliar with Historic Speedwell, especially during the fall and Halloween season, it would have been helpful to have someone share a bit of history about the site. Having staff or volunteers at each station telling historical stories would provide an educational element alongside the entertainment.
I applaud the actors and volunteers for their hard work, and we enjoyed the bits of history that were shared. This event is for anyone looking to enjoy a night of fall-themed activities while learning about the rich history of Morris County."
