Reviews Summary

However, the lack of climate control and on-site amenities means visitors should come prepared for the weather and bring their own food and drinks.
"A couple of sculptures, historical plaques, and the historic buildings of course. It’s all quite cool but not super worth seeking out if you’re not already in the area. Good views and good amount of parking available."

"This is a great part of history in the steel industry. I never knew living around Pittsburgh my whole life that this place was the place that a battle once took place. The history of the battle is very interesting as well as the pump house that still stands there near where the battle took place to this day. There are plaques marking areas of interest where parts of history had happened years ago. It is a nice place for photography as well and a great place for a walk. Carrie furnace is also right across the river and there is a historic bridge to the left of the pump house. Carrie furnace is also a great part of American history."

"I'm the owner of Katherine's Daughter Events and we recently assisted a bride and groom here on their wedding day. This is a rustic, beautifully aged landmark. We thoroughly loved working with Stacey and her staff at Rivers of Steel. Here are a couple of suggestions for any bride/groom. There's no heat or A/C so depending on what time of year you choose, you need to think about the comfort level. It was a chilly, 60 degree day, but sunny so it was very nice for us. It was windy but that was fine, and we did turn on the heaters as the sun went down. They provided ample warmth indoors. If you love old bricks, windows and a gorgeous view, this is your place."
