What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Alger Falls is a charming, easily accessible roadside waterfall that offers a picturesque stop for travelers. While the best views require navigating a muddy path, many find the effort worthwhile for the closer perspective. It's a quick, enjoyable addition to any Upper Peninsula itinerary, though some note the limited parking and potential for the falls to be obscured by foliage.
"Waterfall just off the road only has a small pull over section to park with traffic passing by. If you don't know its there its very easy to miss. Path goes slightly downhill for just a few feet, but the trees are grown in front of the falls so you can't see the falls very much. In order to get a better view you have to walk through a very muddy section to see which is not friendly for kids or elderly. If you attempt that muddy path make sure your wearing clothes to get dirty."

"A nice little roadside waterfall.
There is a small amount of parking (enough for about four or five vehicles) right off the road. I drove past and came back from the other direction as the traffic was pretty heavy at the time.
The view from the roadside isn't that great, but if you're willing to get out and slog through the mud, the views are a thousand time better. You can get right up to the falls on both sides, though you may get muddy and/or wet.
Well worth visiting, though it may take a couple tries depending on how much traffic and how many other visitors are in the area."

"Alger Falls is a beautiful little roadside stop — easy to access and definitely worth pulling over for! The waterfall may not be huge, but it’s super picturesque and a great photo spot, especially after some rain when the water flow is stronger.
It’s a quick stop, but a lovely one if you’re exploring the Munising area or heading to Pictured Rocks. You can view it right from your car or hop out for a closer look. Great little bonus on the road trip!"
