However, parking can be a significant issue, sometimes due to SFA students using the lot, and water fountains are not always operational.
"We met here to hang out. I'm from Longview. My daughter is always talking about Pecan Park, and now, I know why! It's great! The only drawback was that the water fountains weren't on. Luckily, we had water in the car."

"Great park.
Well kept.
Bathrooms.
Playground.
Beautiful Walking Trails.
Pavilions and tables.
Other activities also."

"It was a little hard to give this four stars. Only because I'm a bit sour about the parking. I had to wait around for a parking place and when my daughter and I finally walked to the park there was only 3 other kids there... and the parking lot was FULL. It hit me that SFA students park there for free to walk to their classes. But, certainly not fair to families who actually want to go out and make memories.
As for the ACTUAL park. It was very clean, no liter, and a lot of the play area is shaded. They also have really nice double swings so parents can swing with their little ones. It was a fun experience all in all."
